Dulux AquaTech Flex WaterProofing Paint 1l Basecoat is an Exterior Waterproof Basecoat which protects the exterior walls for 10 years by developing a shield against water damage with its inbuilt fiber mesh. Its unique Hydroshield Technology can protect the walls against a Hydrostatic Pressure of up to 10bars and provides a
crack bridging of up to 3mm with Dulux Weathershield Powerflexx.

Application
Description

Step 1: Surface Preparation
Ensure surface is thoroughly clean, dry and free from all loose dirt, chalk, grease, oily substances, fungi, algae and flaking paint. Fill up all minor cracks and defect with Dulux Aquatech Crack Fillers (5mm, 10mm & 20mm) according to the crack size and depth.

Step 2: Application process
Apply a priming coat of Dulux Weathershield Alkali Bloc primer/Dulux Weathershield Crack Bridging Primer/Dulux Professional Weathershield E1000 Sealer as per recommended dilution or a self-priming coat of Dulux Aquatech Waterproof Flexible Basecoat with 30% dilution. Post Drying apply 1 coat of Dulux Aquatech Waterproof Flexible Basecoat without dilution and allow 6-8 hrs of during. Post drying apply 2 coats of Dulux Weathershield Powerflexx, Weathershield Flexx, Weathershield Max, Weathershield Elastomeric, Protect, Weathershield E1000, with 20-30% dilution.

Step 3: Drying time

Touch Dry for the basecoat is 30-45 minutes and allow 6-8 hours drying timebefore recoating.

Health & Safety

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc. of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding should be used whenever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Keep out of reach of children. Refer Safety Data Sheet for more details.
